Lucky AF: Elevate Your Sushi Experience in Richmond!

Lucky AF: Asian Fusion & Sushi in Richmond was a great choice for date night with my wife. The sushi was incredibly fresh and well prepared, with quality ingredients that really stood out. The atmosphere was fun and lively, making it a nice spot for a relaxed but special evening. There was a bit of a wait to get our food, but once it arrived, it was absolutely worth it. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and you could tell care went into each dish. If you’re not in a rush and want excellent sushi, this place is definitely worth checking out.

As someone who would never come here due to shellfish allergies and just overall food preference it was a great experience. I came along for a friend's birthday and our waiter was very friendly and great at giving reccomendations as to what could be safe to try if I was interested. Others very much enjoyed their meals and the presentation was lovely. Seems to be pretty popular for a Saturday night but they did accommodate us with their outdoor heated patio so we did not have a wait.

First time here, loved the rolls. We got a spicy sockeye salmon traditional roll and a fancy roll called the Wonder Woman. Both were superb. We tried the lobster dumpling appetizer out of curiosity and it just wasn’t what we expected with the word “dumpling” so a bit down on the rating from that. The flavor was okay. Definitely will return for the rolls and happy hour deals!

First time here and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a casual, trendy vibe for a sushi spot, with inventive rolls that truly stand out. We had a wonderful server who recommended the Get Naked, Baby Krish, and a weekly special roll with truffle oil—all of which were absolutely delicious. These rolls were unlike any I’ve ever come across: creative, bold, and packed with flavor. If you're from out of town like me, you have to stop at Lucky AF when you roll through!

Randomly chose Lucky AF after seeing the number of reviews and now I know why. Great selection of unique roll choices and flavors, like the Granada Roll with the jalapeño relish (not hot). AND, happy hour specials until 6PM.

I have come twice in the last few weeks, and I was lucky enough to get the same server both times - and ti was incredible! I have always loved the food, but now I can say that I have had absolutely amazing experiences because the staff here are so sweet! The rolls are definitely fusion, but there are still some wonderful traditional homages everywhere.

The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is i had to switch drinks because the whiskey sour was awful but the replacement was everything. You can tell when a mixologist clocks in. The service was great though. Very friendly staff and the vibe was intimate with very diverse music. THE SUSHI WAS AMAZING. The happy hour menu was reasonably priced so we decided to get all the sushi options. We added a bowl of rice and 4 drinks for less that 60 bucks! Definitely a great spot for happy hour or a very intimate non-formal date.

A friend recommended this place and it didn't disappoint! Staff was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. The waitress gave great recommendations, and we ordered some of their happy hour items as well. The sushi had good quality fish and tasted amazing. Will definitely be returning when I'm visiting the area!
